SHIVA, YASHODHA & KRISHNA This oleograph is a depiction of the 12th day of Krishna’s birth when Lord Shiva came down from his abode to visit him. He arrived in his daunting form and asked Yashodha to meet his son. Yashodha who was protective of her son did not recognize Shiva and refused. After he left, Krishna started crying uncontrollably, leaving Yashodha distressed. A lady asked if someone has left the house unsatised, and then recalled her meeting with Shiva.
