He did severe penance for many years for Lord Brahma. Indra, who wanted to divert him from his penance, sent his courtesan Menaka to seduce him. In disguise, she came to enchant him by her charms. Though he was stubborn not to yield in the benning, was later lured. Vishwamitra is seated on a tiger skin with rm resolution and Menaka is engaged in all wiles of seduction.
