In retaliation, Ravan shot Lakshmana with the Brahmastra and rendered him unconscious. Ram’s camp was in distress over Lakshman state. At the request of Jambavan, one of the senior ministers of Sugriva, Hanuman ew to the Mahameru mountain in the Himalayan reon near Kailash to retrieve rare medicinal herbs that had the ability to restore life and heal all wounds. Hanuman, not being able to differentiate the herbs, plucked the whole mountain and ew back to Lanka. Hanuman’s arrival is depicted here.
