SULOCHANA Sulochana is the daughter of the king of the serpents and married to Meghanath, the eldest son of Ravan. During the battle in Ramayan, Meghanath is beheaded by Lakshman. Ravan informs her that would have to obtain her departed husband's head on her own. Despite the fears of his ministers that Sulochana would be imprisoned by Ram, Ravan gave her leave to go in person to the battleeld to make the request. In the scene, Sulochana is receiving the head of Meghanath. In retaliation, Ravan shot Lakshmana with the Brahmastra and rendered him unconscious. Ram’s camp was in distress over Lakshman state. At the request of Jambavan, one of the senior ministers of Sugriva, Hanuman ew to the Mahameru mountain in the Himalayan reon near Kailash to retrieve rare medicinal herbs that had the ability to restore life and heal all wounds. Hanuman, not being able to differentiate the herbs, plucked the whole mountain and ew back to Lanka. Hanuman’s arrival is depicted here.
